Tattoos and the urban society today..

tattoos are a very common art in today's society. they can mean something very special to the bearer or can just be a beautiful piece of art on someone's body. Some people do get it wrong and yes, it is very unfortunate for them. They can be so silly and impulsive and its on their body forever - I don't know how they can be so careless but anyways images will be sure to follow.


tattoos seem more common in men than in women I believe. I tend to see 'sleeves' as one of the most common forms of tattoos on men. a sleeve is where the tattoo covers the whole arm, half sleeves are also very common. for some, in their career showing tattoos can be seen as not very professional. this is why they do the top half of their arm so they can show their forearm in work.

As I mentioned in a previous post, having phrases or words written on their body is also very common in their own language an others.

• motivational phrases
• life quotes
• humour

 

 

 

tattoos have become so popular today that tv shows have even been made to promote and share the work of tattoo artists. Shows such as; Miami Ink, London Ink.

As I have mentioned its not only men who have tattoos, some women cover their body in huge tattoos, again that have deep meanings for each individual.
